Dr. Parulkar studied medicine at the Seth G.S.Medical College and the University of Bombay, India. He received his Graduation in Medicine with Gold Medal and Honors in the subjects of Physiology, Anatomy, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Gynecology Obstetrics and Surgery. After one year of internship he completed Masters in General Surgery at the King Edward Hospital, Univ. of Bombay, India. He completed his Masters in Urology and became a Diplomate of the Indian Board of Urology . He then did a two year Fellowship in Neurourology and Genitourinary Prosthetics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA. He trained with renowned experts such as Dr. David Barrett (retired Chairman, Div. Of Urology, Mayo Clinic and current CEO of Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA) and Dr. Ronald Lewis (Chairman, Division of Urology, Medical School of Georgia, Augusta). He returned back to India to Practice Urology in Bombay for three years. He was invited to USA to do a Fellowship in Male Sexual Dysfunction and Male Infertility at the Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He then completed a residency in Urology at the Univ. of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA. He passed the American Board of Urology examination in March 2000, and has been elected as a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Parulkar has over 50 presentations in national and international meetings. He has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals, textbook chapters and meeting abstracts.
He joined the faculty at the Univ. of Massachusetts,
Division of Urology in August of 1999. He is the director of Male Infertility
and Sexual Dysfunction clinic at the Univ. of Massachusetts in Worcester. He is
also a staff urologist at the Fallon Clinic in Worcester. He established a special clinic for male infertility and
sexual dysfunction patients at the University of Massachusetts. This clinic is
dedicated to comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with erectile
dysunction and male infertility.
